Experience Sweden and the Arctic Circle in the most perfect of settings, canoe remote wilds stretches of rivers before embarking on a trip along to the coast, foraging, fishing and cooking a long way in the land of the midnight sun.

On our expedition there will be plenty of time to forage and fish under the guidance of both our local Swedish resident guide and outdoor instructor Toby and Coastal Survivals chief instructor Fraser, both very practically experienced in wilderness living, fishing and foraging, together they will teach you the many ways of how to confidently canoe, find food, prepare and cook it in a variety of ways, in a truly wild environment, along with how to plan, pack and perform any wilderness canoeing and coastal experience.
Basic bushcraft skills such as fire lighting, shelter requirements, water and food will be covered as a matter of course.
This is an excellent course for anybody who wishes to experience the thrills and rewards of truly remote wilderness living canoeing along the river and then onto the beach, giving you the personal confidence and skills for any further planned expeditions or trips.
This wilderness canoeing and coastal experience is shared across two locations the first three days canoeing along remote wild stretches of the upper river before transferring (missing populated areas of the river) as we head straight to the coast for three days foraging, fishing and living wild on the beach!
Bushcraft skills taught and experienced on this course will include: fishing in both river and sea using different techniques including: Rod and line spinning, netting and trapping. Wild camp fire cookery and preserving food will be hands on, surrounded with how to camp safely in the wilderness including the tools and equipment used.
The course is fully catered. Food on the course is a mix of pantry stores and rations that we will supply along with any wild foraged or fished food that we may get along the way. Everything else is included from the moment we pick you up from the airport, including all transfers, canoe hire and safety equipment, fishing license along with any specialist equipment needed for the course duration.
All you need bring is your personal camping equipment, which will include a small tent, sleeping bag and mat, along with 2 easy to dry light weight changes of cloths in a waterproof bag and wet shoes.

Transfers will be from Lulea airport, both Scandinavian and Norwegian airlines have regular flights.
This course requires a minimum of 7 attending with a maximum of 10.
This course will be confirmed once 7 people have booked. Notification is given when the final remaining 3 places are available.
Confirmation of this course will be given by the end of February 2015 and all bookings should be made well in advance of that date.
